Outreach Service Opportunities

Garden Christian Academy needs volunteers to prepare and serve lunch to their students. They currently need help 8 a.m. - 2 p..m on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; and 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Wednesdays. You can sign up for any amount of time (just make a note in the comment section if it will be some fraction of the hour for which you are volunteering). You can sign up here.

Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC.) of Lorain County mobilizes churches to meet local needs. Right now, we are eagerly planning our first Transformational Ministry class for clients, Affirming Potential, that we will offer early in 2024. This 12-week class explores the physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual areas of a person's life from a biblical perspective and includes a "Dream Tool" to help participants set and achieve goals. Specific action steps are identified to help them reach their full potential as they receive encouragement to view themselves and their situations through the hope we have in Christ. We welcome your prayers as we anticipate what God will do through this ministry!

Now we are calling on the Church to help us launch our vision for these Transformational Ministry classes. In addition to blessing the clients, these classes offer occasions for volunteers to build relationships with neighbors in our community. As we strive toward being relational, the classes will include a meal and time to interact with each other and with Love INC church volunteers. Specifically, we are looking for individuals willing to serve as small group leaders as well as small groups of people interested in helping provide meals and childcare.
